Discount quieter booking hours

What it is

An off-peak rule lowers the price for appointments that start during selected weekdays and hours. You choose the locations, services, percent and optional dates. It is included in every plan and trial with no extra charge.

Before you start

Decide which hours need help filling and how much to discount. Check the location's time zone and normal service prices. Rules apply to the appointment's start time in that location's time zone; a start at the end of a window does not qualify.

Steps

  1. Open My business → Promotions → Off-peak hours and add a rule.
  2. Choose its locations and services, weekdays, start and end times, discount percent and optional date range. Save it, then turn it on.
  3. Check the booking page for one of those times. When the business shows prices, the time chip shows the reduced price and percent off.
  4. Open Money → Reports for a location and period. The off-peak block shows the visits booked under each rule, the amount discounted, checked-out service revenue and how much of the rule's bookable time filled. Export CSV for the same figures.
  5. Turn a rule off when you want new bookings to stop using it. Bookings already made keep their saved price.

What your clients see

Clients see the discounted time and price before booking when prices are visible. If the business hides prices, the discount amount is hidden too. A client moving their own booking sees the new price before confirming; a paid deposit still counts toward the visit. A desk move keeps the booked price unless staff edit the line discount.

Common mistakes

  • Several matching rules do not add together. The largest percent wins; if tied, the rule created first wins.
  • The discount is applied after a service's sale price and before a promo code or desk line discount. A deposit is calculated from the resulting net price.
  • The window uses the appointment's start, not its end. Turning a rule off affects new bookings, not saved ones.
