Keep your bookings on your phone without an account
What it is
When you book in the mobile app, the appointment is saved on your phone. You can close the app and open it again later, and your booking is still in Appointments, without creating an account or signing in. Each saved booking shows the service, the place, the start time in that place's own time zone, and its last known status.
A booking that is waiting for a payment stays waiting. Saving it never turns it into a confirmed booking.
Before you start
- A booking made in the mobile app on this phone.
- An internet connection when you want fresh details, to cancel, or to continue a payment. Without one you can still see your saved bookings.
Steps
See your bookings
- Open the app and tap Appointments. Saved bookings carry the label Saved on this device.
- Next to it you see when it was last refreshed, for example "updated" and the time. If you are offline, the app says you are offline and shows what it last loaded.
- To refresh, pull the list down while you are online. The app also refreshes when you open it again. If the business moved your appointment, the card shows the new time.
Cancel or pay
- Connect to the internet. Without it, the app says you need to connect, and nothing is cancelled or paid.
- Cancel the appointment from its card. The business's usual cancellation rules and fees apply, and the app asks you to confirm.
- To pay a deposit that is still pending, open the booking and continue to payment. You do not need an account. The booking is confirmed only when the payment is received, not when you return from the payment screen.
Remove a booking from your phone
- Open the booking and tap Remove from this device.
- Read the message and confirm. Tap Keep it to go back.
- This does not cancel the appointment. It only takes it off this phone.
- Sign in with your phone number to find bookings made on other devices. Bookings from your account and from this phone appear once each.
- When you sign out, the bookings saved on this phone stay visible.
What happens next
If the app says your booking succeeded but this phone could not save it, your appointment is still booked. Try saving again. Do not book a second time.
If the app says your management access expired, you still see the last saved details, but they may be out of date. Sign in to find and manage the booking. An expired link does not mean the appointment was cancelled.
If a payment deadline passes, the card shows that the hold was released, but only the business's records decide whether it was cancelled.
Common mistakes
- Removing a booking to cancel it. Removing only hides it on this phone. To cancel, use the cancel option while online.
- Assuming old details are current. Check the last updated time, and refresh when you are online.
- Booking again after a save error. Your first booking is already made.
- Looking for the booking on another phone. Bookings saved on a phone stay on that phone. Sign in to find them elsewhere.
