Find help in Zelun: help center, the ? button and support
What it is
Zelun gives you several ways to settle a question, from the quickest to the most personal:
- The help center: step-by-step guides, in Spanish and English, written for business owners and their team, plus others for a business's clients. It is public: you read it without signing in.
- The help button on each screen: a floating button with a question mark that opens the guide for the screen you are on. In the team app it also offers asking Zelun.
- The support assistant: a chat inside the admin that answers from the help center's articles.
- A person at Zelun: if the assistant did not help, your question goes to the support team and they reply in a conversation and by email.
Before you start
For the help button and the assistant you need to be signed in to the admin. The help center needs no account. The assistant works only when Zelun's answering service is connected; when it is not, you can still write to a person.
Steps
Open the guide for the screen you are on
- Look for the floating button with the question mark, Help for this page, over the screen's content.
- Press it. The guide opens in a new tab, in the language your admin is shown in; your screen stays as it was, with anything you typed and have not saved.
- If a screen has several guides, the one that explains that particular screen opens; you can find the others in the help center.
- If you do not see the button on a screen, there is no published guide for it yet. It is not shown greyed out: it is simply not there.
- In the team app, the ? button first opens a sheet with two options: Read the article for this screen and Ask Zelun. The second opens Help knowing which screen you are asking from.
Read the help center
- Open Help from the menu or the footer of Zelun's public site.
- The main page groups the guides by category. For a business's clients, the link A client of a business? Help for clients leads to their collection, and Help for owners and staff takes you back to yours.
- On each guide, the language link takes you to the same guide in the other language. Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed.
Ask the support assistant
- On any screen of your company, press Ask about the admin, bottom right, and type your question. The assistant answers from the help articles and shows the Source.
- For the full page and your conversations, open Support in the Setup group of the side menu. The detailed steps are in the support assistant article.
- In the team app, open Help with the question mark icon in the Today header. If you are part of the team, the assistant gives you only what your role allows and, if it does not settle your question, you can ask your owner. The steps are in the support assistant article.
Talk to a person
- Under an answer, press No - talk to a person.
- Check your question and press Send to support. Nothing is sent until you press that button.
- The reply arrives in the conversation, inside Support, and also by email. The typical reply time is measured and shown on the Support page; it is not a guaranteed time.
What your clients see
Your clients do not see the help button or the admin's assistant. What they do have is their own collection of public guides in the help center, written for them, explaining how to book, change or cancel an appointment. Your conversation with support is only between you and Zelun.
Common mistakes
- Expecting the help button on every screen. It appears only where a guide is already published, and it does not appear on the sign-in screens.
- Looking for a guide that is not there yet. Guides for features not yet launched do not appear in the help center or the assistant.
- Relying on the assistant for a specific case in your business. It answers from the articles, not from your data; for a specific case write to a person.
- Expecting an instant reply from support. A person's reply comes in the conversation and by email, not immediately.
- Reading a guide in the other language by accident. The guide opens in the admin's language; change the admin's language or use the guide's language link.
