Find the documents and receipts a business shared with you

What it is

A business you visit can share things with you after a visit: a result, instructions, a note on how things are going. You find them in three places: on the page of that visit, on your profile under My documents, and in the app. For a visit that was paid, you also find your receipt there, and your invoice if one was issued.

Only you see them. A file opens through a link that works for a few minutes, so a link you saved or forwarded will stop working. You open it again from the page.

If your practitioner left you instructions, you read them on the same visit page, under Your instructions. How to read them and switch the reminders on is in the Your instructions article.

Before you start

  1. Your personal link for the visit (the one in your confirmation), or your account if you signed in with your phone number.
  2. For the app: sign in with the same phone number you book with.

Steps

From the page of a visit

  1. Open your personal link for the visit.
  2. Find Documents for this visit. Press Open next to a file, or read a written note right on the page.
  3. For a paid visit, the Receipt is below, with Invoice PDF and Invoice XML when an invoice was issued.

A business can also share a link, such as a video. It opens in a new tab through the business's own page, and if the business withdraws it you see a short page saying it is no longer available. Before a visit, the page may show For your visit with preparation to read; it appears as soon as you book.

From your profile

  1. Sign in and open your profile for that business.
  2. Under My documents, everything the business shared with you is listed, newest first. Press Open.

In the app

  1. Open Appointments. A visit with documents shows Documents (n).
  2. Press it to see them. A file opens inside the app.
  3. If you booked without an account, a past visit shows Documents and receipt, which opens the page of that visit.

What happens next

  • If the business turned on the message, you get one short message: "You have a new document from [business]" with a link to your profile. It never says what the document is.
  • If the business withdraws a document, it disappears from your list and the file is deleted.
  • If you take care of a child or another person, their documents appear in your list with their name, and the message comes to you.

Common mistakes

  • Saving the file's link. It expires after a few minutes. Open it again from the page.
  • Looking on the wrong visit's page. A visit's page shows only its own documents; the rest are on your profile.
  • Expecting to send a file. You can read what the business shares; you cannot upload here.
  • Expecting the message to carry the document. It only carries a link.
